Jumping elephant

Friday night, finally weekend, time to relax and write, right? Nope!

I saw a mouse, and being me, I was determined to capture and move it outside. After four hours, moving all the furniture in the living room, and in my bedroom, cleaning a little as I went along (something I've avoided a while), we're finally mouse free again!

Let's hope that tomorrow I'll get some writing done because I'm going on a trip on Sunday to meet family, and when I return I'm sure I'll be too tired to bother about writing *gasp*.

art: Weasley is our King (+ a mini RL update)

There are many things I could say about my RL stress, the short version is work, work, work, home where I work some more, relax and sleep. That's how my day usually passes, and while I would like more time doing things I want, or need to do, it's not the worst situation I've been in.

I have a bunch of deadlines I must reach, which is all good, as long as I stop procrastinating. Planning to finish one thing that is due this week tomorrow, as well as trying something new, I'm making cheese :D and it will be with my son so I can finally say I've spent some time with him.

Rupert Grint's birthday was last week, and when I saw that I wanted to photo manipulate something Weasley, not only because of Rupert/Ron, but because I really needed to do something just for myself. Well, here is what I ended up with::

I really love it, and every time I look at it the stress of my life seems to fade away as I remember the calm state I was in when I created it.

art: Off Stage [Hermione/Pansy] - G

Characters/Pairing: Hermione/Pansy
Rating: G
Warnings: None really, unless you count AU muggle as a warning

Creator's Notes: I LOVED drawing this. I knew which pose I wanted as soon as I saw the cliché, and I loved drawing the contortion pose (it’s one of my favourite things to draw). After sketching this I had several other ideas, but I wasn’t able to finish them in time, maybe another time.

Home <3

There are many reasons why I love being home again, in my own home. I'm one of those who (even if I dislike my current apartment) loves to stay at home, and dislikes to waste more time outside than needed (parties, meeting friends to go shopping etc is not my thing)

Here are a few of the reasons I love being home again:

1) No more family I have to see and talk to whenever I'm in a less that great mood.

2) I know where things should go, how to fill the dishwasher, and I don't worry about making a mess.

3) After spending 2 weeks with a mini laptop, my screen looks like it's 1000" big (my screen fits 4 of the mini screens, I do now love my screen)

4) I have all my stuff!!! My pencils, my craft thingies, my computer with all my programs, my clothes and shoes.

5) My reference/research folders, or just everything else I saved in my computer.

Needless to say, I'm happy to finally be home, now if I can wrap up my prison exchange fic, and add more words to my rarepairs exchange fic, then this weekend will be great!

I also need to remember that I must scan some art.

I finished my hp_prisonerfest

I've worked on it almost non-stop during my whole vacation, 2 weeks, and it's finally done. It's long, but I do love it so much!

My beta still has to go through it, and I have to go through her notes, but I'm done!

Now that I've completed that fic, I have to worry about my other entries that are due in August, luckily it's only two things, and one is almost complete XD

Vacation, porn and everything between

My first week of my 2 weeks holiday is almost over, and let me tell you, after working 9-14 hours each day for the last 1,5 months, not counting the 2 hours I spend every day back and forth between work and home, it's wonderful to do nothing at all.

First week was spent at my in-laws, who are wonderful and takes care of my kid while I relax. The next week will be at my own family, who will also take care of my kid while I relax. I know I'm using them, but why would I visit family if it meant just as much work during my vacation? I've had it with stress during vacation, Christmas the last few years has been only that, stress and work.

Free time means writing, besides sucking up as much energy as possible for when I return to work (the thought of how much far behind we might be then almost scares me).

I have a few things on my to-do list, but the main thing I'm concentrating about is hp_prisonerfest. Still not completed my story, but with my work schedule I've had almost no time to write. The story is now 7/10 chapters complete, and is about 19 400 words so far. My plans is to finish the story this weekend. I tried to keep the plot short, but I love it so much that I couldn't help the size.

Besides stressing over that fic, I've taken short breaks writing other things, which is just what I need sometimes. I've also tried to write things in other fandoms, which is a lot of fun. Also, as soon as I finish things with deadlines, I'm going to go through my list of stories that are patiently waiting for a second chapter, and try to finish them before they end up as one of those WIP's that are 10 years old but never finished.

One last thing, I suck at replying to comments, especially when they are fest comments, especially when I don't pay attention to the reveal and then forget, sorry about that, I read every comment and love them, it's the replying part that I suck at.
